Dr. Michael Affemann

	Dr. Michael Affemann grew up in a large European city and spent his childhood vacations visiting islands, a pattern which continued into his adulthood. His studies of Medicine and Psychology led him to be fascinated with the way our life choices impact our wellbeing and the potential to improve the quality of our life through the decisions we make.

He has applied the lessons he learned in his teaching at several universities, his psychological practice, his executive coaching and consulting, and in his own life. He has since found a way to permanently live on an island with his wife and two children, where he directs the Island Time Coaching Center and where his wife’s family operates a hotel.

Michael Mueller

Even though Michael Mueller was born in the South of Germany, he grew up at the shores of the North Sea. As a child he started playing with computers and trying to figure out how to program them. This hobby turned into a mission. After high-school, he studied Electronics and now Internet Marketing at the University of Wilhelmshaven, immediately putting to use what he learned by starting his own Internet-Marketing and Hardware firm.

While his studies helpes him in business, his practical experience also advanced his studies. “Never stop a running system” he was fond of saying, but also has a strong appreciation for the principles of innovation and entrepeneurism which introduce his motto “no risk, no gain”. His interest in looking beyond his own plate led him to travel extensively and ultimately to decide putting his experiences to good use as a travel operator. When he is not working, Michael likes to listen to instrumental music and appreciates good friends, both of which help him in generating new creative ideas. Within the GlobalPerspective team, he is primarily responsible for Marketing and Business Development.

Colonel David Allen

Col. David Allen was actually born on an island in the Philippines where his father, a career soldier, was stationed at the time. For the past 25 years, he has been trying to juggle the three hats he wears alternatingly: In his military life, he is a Colonel in the United States Army Reserves and a graduate of the United States War College. He served on active duty at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Mons, Belgium, at the Office of Military Cooperation in Kabul, Afghanistan, and at Centcom in Tampa, Florida.

In his civilian life, he holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and has worked as a Leader in Student Affairs at several universities. Presently, he is a Civil Servant and manages a federal program. In his personal life, he is married, has a daughter, and enjoys precious family time at his home near Charlotte, North Carolina.
